This setup will make Luddites want to scream! [Cult of Mac]

Anthony Ivanovsky is a Toronto-based marketing expert and IT manager who has a knack for gadgets, both big and small. In his setup, an MSI Optix MAG341CQ 34-inch UltraWide Curved Gaming Monitor immediately draws the eye. And at $500, it costs considerably less than other ultrawides on the market.

On the left-hand side of his desk, standing like a monument, is the commanding Mac Pro. He uses this beast of a machine for video editing, photo editing and for his day job working for a tech startup. Aside from the base Radeon 580X, he also has two additional Radeon VII graphic cards, which may seem like overkill until you learn that he also runs three different YouTube channels.

For gaming, Ivanovsky spared no expenses building his PC. He runs an Intel Core i9-9900K desktop processor housed in an NZXT H440 Mid Tower Gaming Case. An Asus ROG Maximus XII Extreme Gaming Motherboard is the central nervous system of the computer. A Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 gives him lightning-fast speeds.

His favorite part of his setup, though, is the desk itself. Its sprawling expanse gives him a ton of room to work with — and he tries to make use of every inch. The desk is comprised of a couple of Alex shelves from Ikea and a giant slab of wood he put on top of them. He likes that he can jot down notes on his iPad Pro “without having to move [his] keyboard and mouse!”

This dedicated gamer even uses separate peripherals for his PC. Normally he uses the Magic Keyboard, Trackpad and Mouse trio with his Mac Pro. But tucked away in his cabinet, he has a Razer Mamba Wireless Gaming Mouse and a Keychron K2 Bluetooth Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. He won’t stop at any lengths to become an elite Warzone player.

His iPhone is conveniently raised by a Ugreen stand so he has easy access to it and does not have to constantly pull it out of his pocket to check notifications. At just $14, it is easily the most inexpensive thing on the desk.
He blasts tunes from a pair of PreSonus 2-Way Near Field Studio Monitors, which give him an accurate frequency response that is critical when he edits videos.

He sports a Netgear Orbi Tri-band Mesh WiFi System to handle all of his devices while providing him with steady broadband speeds. His backlit Philips Hue Play lights give his desk its own purple haze aura. Unsurprisingly he does not plan to make any changes to his setup and this will be his permanent rig for years to come.
